Provenance trace — sequence in, history out

An unlabelled tube arrives. You sequence the barcode locus, paste the read here, and recover the commit and its full engineering history.

Tip: open any commit page and copy its barcode — then try mangling it (lowercase it, split it across lines, embed it mid-genome). The decoder should cope.
